CASUAL + CONTEMPORARY
Though we meet in a building that bears the echoes of the past, we are a casual and contemporary church community. We do not take ourselves very seriously, but we take God very seriously.
We encourage you to come in the clothes that will help you have a worshipful mindset. For some, this means dressing up while for others this is dressing in the most comfortable clothes they have—but we all have the responsibility to care for those around us. For instance, you may find yourself sitting next to someone who is a professional or homeless and it would be wrong to make either feel awkward.
INTERGENERATIONAL
We are an intergenerational church that is attempting to serve three to five generations. What this means for you is that we encourage our people to interact with those of another generation.
During our worship gatherings, we welcome children in our services but also provide nursery and classes for children through fifth grade during the 10:40 service. We will be taking temperatures and asking two health-screen questions at check-in before the service. The nursery, toddler class, and 3-4 year-old class are available to receive your children 10 minutes before the start of the service. The pre-K, Kindergarten, and elementary classes do not begin until the kids are released during the service—and these children are brought back into the sanctuary when their class is completed.
DESPERATE WORSHIP
Our service might be a bit backwards for those who have grown up in the American church. We believe that authentic, desperate worship is always in response to the Revelation of God. To this end, we have structured the worship service with ample time to respond to the message from the Bible. We offer communion every Sunday and there are no restrictions other than faith in Jesus and forgiveness of one another.
